Sheroes Chapters are local, school-based chapter of the larger Sheroes Project with both online talks and live, in-person events. Sheroes Chapter leaders will interview technical women - from entrepreneurs, to executives, to engineers - and share their stories with their communities.
Once a month, chapter members will conduct a their own Sheroes episodes over Google hangouts. A six-month calendar needs to be prepared at the beginning of the quarter/semester with dates for Sheroes episodes. Sheroes must be contacted in order to confirm the dates when the calendar is set. Episodes will be hosted by members of the Sheroes chapter.
Once a semester/quarter, chapter leaders will organize a live Sheroes event - a panel of 2-5 speakers (past Sheroes or new Sheroes) which will be open to the community. These events will actively involve local schools and clubs to expose young girls to technical women.
The audience for the online and live talks is the entirety of local chapter communities, but both will be targeted towards women who are interested in pursuing engineering or computer science (or who are currently pursuing these fields).
